Moulton Nursery School is proud of the passion and dedication our staff have for child development. Each member has their own background and reason for choosing to work within the early years sector and they would like to share them with you.

Louise Hood Manager & owner
Louise has worked in child development for over 13 years and started her journey after the birth of her second child. Now a mum of 3 children Louise has built up a childcare setting to be proud of. Passionate about supporting children and their families in their most important early years Louise has developed her own curriculum combining all of her favourite aspects from well thought of pedagogy.
Louise is the settings Safeguarding lead and Senco officer ensuring the safety and well being of all children in her care.
Louise holds a level 4 Early years practitioner qualification, level 3 Peadiatric first aid qualification, Working with autistic children, child bereavement, SEND in the early years and working together to safeguard children qualification.

Jennifer Davies Deputy manager
Jen has worked at the setting since 2015. A mum of 2 children, Jen chose childcare because of her passion support children and parents through the early years.
Jen is passionate about supporting children and their families with additional needs as she herself is a mum to a son with Cerebral palsy. Jen has supported many families going through the diagnosis stage with advice and compassion knowing only to well the diffculties that can be ahead. As a setting we strive to ensure every child has equal opportunities to achieve their very best.
Jen holds a level 3 childcare practitioner qualification.
A level 3 Paediatric first aid qualification. Safeguarding children qualification. Specialised training in speech and language therapy and emotional support therapy for children: Monkey Bob training.

Sarah Metcalf
Sarah is mum to 3 boys and has been with the nursery since 2018. Sarah is undertaking her Level 3 Early years Educator apprenticeship. Sarah is very creative and loves the challenge of creating messy and imaginative play. Sarah also holds a level 3 Paediatric First aid qualification.

Wendy Cresham Early Years Practitioner
Wendy has worked in education for over 15 years, she has experience of working in schools, nurseries and with children with SEND. As a mum and recent grandma Wendy knows the importance of high quality and caring child provision and is passionate about supporting children to achieve their best outcomes. Her knowledge and understanding of child development alongside her extensive experience makes Wendy an incredible asset to the team. Wendy is Peadiatric first aid trained, a level 3 qualified childcare practitioner and holds her safeguarding children qualification.

Jodie Sharrock
Jodie joined the team in 2021. Jodie is qualified as a level 2 Early years educator and is currently undertaking her level 3 qualification with us as an apprentice. Jodie is outgoing and full of energy, she is often found bringing stories to life and dancing with the children, many of whom think she is Ana from frozen! Jodie holds her level 3 Paediatric first aid qualification.

Rachel Thomas Early years practitioner
Rachel joined the team in 2017 and holds a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and education (Early Years Educator).
As a long standing volunteer to the Brownie group in the village Rachel is very commited to our community and brings great energy to the team. Rachel works mostly in our after school club with our older children planning fun crafts and games for them along with special movie nights and sports events.
Rachel also holds a level 3 paediatric first aid certificate & safeguarding certificate.
